Say your limit out loud
Message your domme that you are stopping, or capping what you send, and by how much. A good domme respects it. One who argues, sulks or threatens has shown you why you are leaving.
Spending limits
Findom should thrill you, not sink you. How to spot the slide, set a budget, step back and find support.
Decide your limit, tell the people you send to, and make sending harder: block the dommes who push you past it, delete saved card details and take a break. If you can't stop when you mean to, or you owe money, talk to a debt adviser or a therapist. Enjoying findom isn't the problem. Losing control of it is.
This page is general information, not medical or financial advice.
Findom is a kink, and a budget keeps it one. Psychologist Mark Griffiths wrote in 2016 that once spending goes past disposable income, findom could in "a minority of cases" turn into "a behaviour akin to problem gambling". If you are reading this after a send you regret, you are not the first, and you can step back. New to the sub side? What a paypig is explains what the giving should feel like.
Therapist Debra L. Kaplan set out the warning signs in February 2026. If several sound familiar, take them seriously:
Nobody needs a diagnosis to decide it has gone too far. SBS's 2024 podcast on findom featured "Kurt", who spent ten years sending money online before he recovered.
A budget is not the opposite of findom. Used well, it is part of the play: your domme gets a limit to push you towards, and you get to give without the morning-after panic.
A written "debt" is never a reason to borrow: findom debt contracts are not legally enforceable, and our guide to whether findom is legal sets out why. How to find a findom covers telling a new domme your budget before the first send.
Take a break
Make the next send harder than the last, and make help easier to reach.
Message your domme that you are stopping, or capping what you send, and by how much. A good domme respects it. One who argues, sulks or threatens has shown you why you are leaving.
On Findom Finder you can block anyone instantly, cutting off their messages and their view of your profile. Block the same accounts on every other app, then clear the chats you keep rereading.
Delete saved card details from payment apps, wishlist sites and your browser, and log out of all of them. A send that takes ten minutes to set up is one you might think twice about.
Cancel through support or the chat bot, and what you have paid for runs until its end date. To leave completely, remove your profile and data from your Membership page. Our safety page covers blocking and reporting.
Debt advice doesn't care how the debt began. Start with whichever of these fits:
Peer support helps some people, but it is user-run and unvetted. On Reddit, r/QuittingFindom calls itself "A community for people who want to quit findom, specifically for so-called 'subs'". Don't mistake r/paypigsupportgroup for the same thing: despite the name, it is a community for paypigs to talk about serving, not a recovery group.
Pushing is the game; breaking someone isn't. If a sub mentions loans, arrears, money meant for bills or hiding sends from a partner, stop taking and tell him why. Kaplan counts manipulation and threats used to extract money among the signs of harm, and neither belongs in a dynamic you want to last.
A sub inside his budget can serve for years. Point one who isn't towards this page and the lines above, and if he blocks you, let him go.
Make sending hard and help easy. Tell your domme you are stopping, block the accounts that pull you back, delete saved payment details and stay away for a while. If you can't manage it alone, a therapist or a Debtors Anonymous meeting can help, and a debt adviser can tackle what you owe.
Enjoying findom is a kink, not an illness. The WHO's ICD-11 includes compulsive sexual behaviour disorder, a 2025 paper in Frontiers in Psychiatry notes, but no source we found names findom in it. If you can't stop despite trying, or it is costing money you need, that is reason enough to see a therapist.
For quitting, r/QuittingFindom is the Reddit community built for subs who want out, though it is user-run and unvetted. r/paypigsupportgroup, whatever its name suggests, is not a recovery group. If debt is the problem, Debtors Anonymous meets face to face, by phone and online.
No. Never borrow to send, and treat any talk of a "hardship loan" as a red flag, not a tribute. A findom debt contract is not legally enforceable, so it is never a reason to borrow for real. If you already have, StepChange, National Debtline or, in the US, the NFCC can help you plan a way out.
Yes. Ask the support team or the chat bot to cancel your plan; anything you have paid for stays open until that period ends. Cancelling leaves your profile in place, so to leave completely, remove your profile and data from your Membership page.
